Die Macher des "Queens Of Metal"-Open Airs melden sich zurück:
Liebe Freunde des unkontrollierten Lärmes,
lange war es still um´s Queens Of Metal Open Air.
Zwei Jahre lang haben wir uns vergeblich an unzähligen Locations versucht und entweder nichts passendes gefunden oder keine Genehmigung bekommen.
Doch die Warterei hat sich gelohnt, denn 2012 wird das Queens Of Metal Open Air zurück sein. Stärker als je zuvor:

Jetzt fragt ihr euch natürlich wo wird das sein?
Wir haben es uns als Aufgabe gesetzt ein Gelände zu finden, daß dem Flair des Geländes in Kleinwenkheim nahe kommt. Wie ihr euch denken könnt keine leichte Aufgabe, denn immerhin war der Waldsportplatz einer der großen Pluspunkte am QOM.
Doch auch diese Hürde haben wir genommen und uns sogar noch verbessert:
Unsere neue Location: Das NATURTHEATER in STEINBACH / LANGENBACH.
Natürlich wird es beim QOM auch einen "Stehplatzbereich" vor der Bühne, welche weiter hinten stehen wird als auf den Bildern, für bis zu 1.000 Leute geben.
Liegen tut das Ganze an der A73 in der Nähe von Schleusingen in Thüringen.
Und um die familiäre QOM-Atmosphäre zu erhalten, wird es ein Ticket-Limit von 3.000 Karten geben. Diese könnt ihr dann ab Oktober käuflich erwerben.

Das Programm des NDR Livestreams vom diesjährigen "Wacken Open Air"-Festival Programm steht fest und die Programminfo dazu kann hier eingesehen werden.
Das NDR Livestream-Programm wird vom 04. bis 06. August 2011 ausgestrahlt; u.a. kann man dort die kompletten Live-Darbietungen von Bands wie TRIVIUM, TRIPTYKON, HEAVEN SHALL BURN, SEPULTURA und vielen mehr sehen.

Metal-Szene im Schock
Seit Tagen ist die Welt geschockt vom kaltblütigen Mord an über 80 norwegischen Jugendlichen. Musiker aus allen Ländern drücken ihre Trauer aus.
Freitagnachmittag, 22.07.2011, gab sich ein 32 Jahre alter Norweger als Polizist aus und erschoss auf der Insel Utøya über 80 Jugendliche, nachdem er vorher einen schweren Bombenanschlag in Oslo verübt hatte. Unzählige Musiker aus den unterschiedlichsten Ländern haben im Internet ihrer Trauer und ihrem Schock Luft gemacht:

FREI.WILD - Platz 1 in den Media Control-Trendcharts!

Die Erfolgsmeldungen um die Deutschrocker von FREI.WILD reißen nicht ab: die am Freitag veröffentlichte Jubiläums-Edition des aktuellen Albums “Gegengift” schnellte von 0 auf Platz 1 der Media Control Trends (Sondertrend). Damit erweisen sich die Südtiroler bereits zum zweiten Mal mit ein und dem selben Album als bahnbrechend. Bei dessen Erstveröffentlichung im Oktober letzten Jahres schoss es vom Stand weg auf Platz 2 in die deutsche Hitparade, nun, knapp ein halbes Jahr später, bricht es erneut Rekorde.
Die “Gegengift”-Edition erschien letzten Freitag anlässlich des 10-jährigen Bestehens von FREI.WILD. Bereits in den letzten Wochen wurde dies gebührend gefeiert. Vor über 4000 Fans weihten FREI.WILD, die in diesem Jahr aufgrund ihrer hohen Verkaufserfolge für den “Echo” in der Kategorie “Rock/Pop Band national” nominiert waren, ihren eigenen Truck ein. In mühsamer Kleinarbeit hatte sich die Gruppe zusammen mit Freunden im Laufe der letzten Monate einen eigenen LKW umgebaut, mit dem sie von nun an durch die Lande rollen werden. Die kreative junge Rockband hat sich damit jedoch nicht nur ein eigenes Transportmittel für ihr Merchandise geschaffen, sondern verwirklichte sich und ihren “Rock’n’Roll-Traum” damit auf eindrucksvolle Weise: als absolutes Unikat verfügt der 40-Tonner über eine Kühlzelle, einen Tresen zum Bierausschank und Merchandise-Verkauf, einer kompletten Chill Out-Lounge, Stehtischen und Sofas, sowie einer kompletten FREI.WILD-Museumsdekoration.
Im Dezember werden FREI.WILD ihre bislang größten x-mas-Shows absolvieren.
Alle bislang veranstalteten Tourneen, die unter besagtem feierlichen Motto liefen, waren bis aufs letzte Ticket ausverkauft.
In diesem Jahr nun sollen sie erstmalig in noch größeren Hallen stattfinden, noch mehr Schweiß, Rock’ n’ Roll und Emotionen freisetzen. Mit der Frankfurter Ballsporthalle, der Stuttgarter Schleyerhalle, der Dresdener Messe und der Hamburger Sporthalle treten FREI.WILD damit zum ersten Mal in ihrer Karriere in Venues auf, die allesamt über 10.000 Menschen fassen können.
FREI.WILD bestreiten damit eine in der Musikszene beispiellose Karriere: ganz ohne kommerzielles Marketing, ganz ohne umfangreiche Budgets und ohne kommerzielle musikalische Ausrichtung brechen die Südtiroler derzeit alle Rekorde.

Dieser Freitag der 13. war für die Symphonic-Metal-Band “Krypteria” gewiss keinen Unglückstag. An diesem Tag – also einen Tag vor der Übergabe der Meisterschale – erschein nämlich ihre Single mit der Meisterhymne “Unser Stolz Borussia” für den deutschen Meister Borussia Dortmund. Das Ziel der Band: Ab an die Spitze der Charts, wie der BVB an die Spitze der Bundesliga-Tabelle gestürmt ist.
Dieses Vorhaben ist nicht unrealistisch. Vor zwei Wochen, als sich die Borussia vorzeitig zum Meister kürte, erfasste das Internet-Kaufhaus Amazon eine Flut von Vorbestellungen für die CD. Die Nachfrage war so gigantisch, dass der noch nicht veröffentlichte Silberling auf Platz eins der Rangliste schnellte. Doch nicht nur das: Amazon schaltete aus Sicherheitsgründen vorübergehend den Server ab, weil der Konzern wegen der geballten Vorbestellungswünsche einen Hackerangriff vermutete. In so einem Fall schaltet sich ein automatisches Sicherheitssystem ein.
Den Song hat die Band aus Köln, deren Mitglieder aber schwören, große BVB-Fans zu sein, bereits im Februar aufgenommen. Mit dabei war ein Chor gebildet aus Dortmund-Fans und einigen Spielern. “Wir wollten das große emotionale Gefühl einer Meisterschaft einfangen”, erzählte Gitarrist Christoph Siemons. Die Melodie des Stücks stammt jedoch nicht aus der Feder von “Krypteria” sondern aus der des britischen Komponisten Edward Elgar und dessen Song “Land Of Hopes And Glory”, der durch die Konzertreihe “Night Of The Proms” bekannt wurde.

Für den ECHO ist alles nominiert, was in der nationalen und internationalen Musikszene Rang und Namen hat. Die Eintrittskarten für die große Live-Show in Berlin waren nach 12 Minuten restlos ausverkauft.
Die Band Rammstein hat einen Echo für das “beste Video national” erhalten. Die Dankesrede fiel wie üblich sehr kurz aus - Für Rammstein war es nicht der erste Echo. Die Dankesrede lautete: “Wir bedanken uns bei Vattenfall, sonst wär`s hier dunkel”. Der Echo wird in der ARD gesendet. In diesem Jahr feiert der Musikpreis ein Jubiläum, denn schon zum 20. Mal wird der Echo verliehen. Lena ist insgesamt fünf mal nominiert, “der Graf” von der Band Unheilig ist sieben mal nominiert und gilt als Top-Favorit. Bruno Mars, Herbert Grönemeyer, Adele, Take That und Unheilig werden unter anderem auf der Bühne für Stimmung sorgen.

Die einheimischen Thrash Metal-Legenden SODOM haben sich mit Schlagersänger Roberto Blanco zusammengetan, um einen TV-Spot für die Deutsche Alzheimer Gesellschaft zu produzieren. Folgende Videos geben Aufschluss:
Sodom-Chef Tom Angelripper erklärt: „Alzheimer ist eine Krankheit, die man nicht vergessen darf und der Spot ruft dies auf besonders witzige Art und Weise ins Gedächtnis.“
Heute leben in Deutschland etwa 1,2 Millionen Menschen mit Demenzerkrankungen. Ungefähr 60% davon leiden an einer Demenz vom Typ Alzheimer. Ihre Zahl wird bis 2050 auf 2,6 Millionen steigen, sofern kein Durchbruch in der Therapie gelingt.
